PRIMARY TEACHER – HISTORY TEACHER – PROFESSOR
The teaching career of Nicolae Mischie, whose journey was marked by achievements, can be summarised as follows:
1952 – 1959 Elementary school
1959 – 1964 Pedagogical High School, Bucharest
1965 – 1969 Faculty of History and Geography of the Pedagogical Institute in Craiova
1970 – 1975 Graduates from the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest (graduation average: 9.50/10)
1977 – 1990 History teacher, first degree certification, Department of History of the Pedagogical High School in Targu-Jiu and deputy director of the same school, a position filled following a vacancy contest
1990 – 1992 NSF Deputy in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania. Served as Secretary of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Youth, and Sport
1992-1996 Nicolae Mischie pursued a doctoral degree at the University of Bucharest, PhD thesis – „The Life and Works of Grigore Iunian”
1992 – 1996 National Salvation Front and Social-Democratic Party deputy in the Chamber of Deputies. Served as Secretary of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Youth, and Sport
1996 – 2004 Chairman of the Gorj County Council
2004 – 2007 – Vice-Rector of the “Constantin Brancusi” University, Targu-Jiu
After graduating from the elementary school of Godinesti, Nicolae Mischie attended the Pedagogical High School in Bucharest, from 1959 to 1965.
He was, from 1966 to 1970, a student of the Faculty of History and Geography of the Craiova Pedagogical Institute and in 1975 he graduated from the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest, with an average of 9.50/10.
In 1968 he successfully sat the permanent teacher certification. In 1974, he successfully sat the exam for the second degree certification as a teacher, and from 1978 to 1980 he successfully sat the exam for the first degree certification in the field of history, obtaining the average 10, with the recommendation of the commission to publish several sections of his work.
He began his professional career as a primary school teacher and then as a teacher at the elementary school of Godinesti from 1964 to 1977, becoming acquainted with the various aspects and problems of rural life.
In 1977, he fills the position of history teacher of the Pedagogical High School of Targu Jiu, following a vacancy contest, and then becomes deputy headmaster and serves as Chairman of the Municipal Committee for Culture of Targu Jiu.
Between 1992-1996, Nicolae Mischie pursued a doctoral degree at the University of Bucharest, PhD thesis – „The Life and Works of Grigore Iunian”.
His professional career continued as a Lecturer (1992-1996), Associate Professor (1997-2000) and then full Professor (2000) at the Constantin Brancusi University of Targu Jiu, which he had founded.
In 2004, Nicolae Mischie became Vice-Rector of the “Constantin Brancusi” University that he had founded. As a result of his involvement in various activities in fields like economics, socio-politics, culture, sports, education and health, he was awarded around 150 degrees and excellence awards, and he was declared an honorary citizen of several cities.
